Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday, I couldn’t complete paragraph #64 in “True Devotion” due to the word-limit of CAF, however, today I am posting the last few lines in that paragraph and adding paragraphs 65 and 66.

May all who want to know and love Jesus and Mary more, continue following the writing of St. Louis de Montfort, and continue growing in their understanding of how very important Mary is in God’s Plan. Here is the end of paragraph 64 and the two following paragraphs, St. Louis de Montfort wrote :
Dear Jesus, do these people possess your spirit? Do they please You by acting in this way? Would it please You if we were to make no effort to give pleasure to Your Mother because we are afraid of offending You? Does devotion to your holy Mother hinder devotion to You? Does Mary keep for herself any honour we pay her? Is she a rival of Yours? Is she a stranger having no kinship with You? Does pleasing her imply displeasing You? Does the gift of oneself to her constitute a deprivation for You? Is love for her a lessening of our love for You?
  1. Nevertheless, my dear Master, the majority of learned scholars could not be further from devotion to Your Mother, or show more indifference to it even if all I have just said were true. Keep me from their way of thinking and acting and let me share Your feelings of gratitude, esteem, respect and love for Your holy Mother. I can then love and glorify you all the more, because I will be imitating and following You more closely.
  2. As though I had said nothing so far to further her honour, grant me now the grace to praise her more worthily, in spite of all her enemies who are also Yours. I can then say to them boldly with the saints, "Let no one presume to expect mercy from God, who offends His holy Mother."
God willing, tomorrow, I will post # 67 in which St. Louis’ de Montfort prays to Jesus for “a genuine devotion to Your blessed Mother …and help … to love You wholeheartedly” He joins his prayer with the prayer of St. Augustine in this paragraph, which is also too long to add here.

Come Holy Spirit, bring us into ALL Truth as Jesus promised. (cf Jn 16:13)

Dear hazcompat,

Thanks for your “heart” and your faithful love for Jesus through Mary. It is so important, it seems to me, more and more, that we do not neglect Mary, Whom God loves so much. Mary loves Him more perfectly than any other human person! Jesus from HIs Cross told John and all of us" “Behold Your Mother” – so we could see, by His Grace, how to be Holy as He is Holy!

Mary is the “Living Tabernacle of God” as St. Louis de Montfort describes her in his prayer of Total Consecration. In her are all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the Supernatural virtues of Faith, Hope and above all Charity that enable us to keep growing in holiness. May God grant us all the graces we need to Love Jesus and Mary more and to share that love as St. Louis de Montfort shared it in his time.

There is such a need in our world today to listen to God’s Word in Scripture and to listen to Mary as the servants at Cana did – Mary told them to do whatever He told them – and the jars He told them to fill with water, He then changed that water into wine! Miracles still happen when we Listen and Do the Truth we hear.

Come Holy Spirit, please, open the “ears of our hearts” that we may know and do the Truth Jesus promised and sent You to bring into the Church. (cf Jn 16:13) Just as Mary said, “Be it done unto me” and Jesus came to dwell in her, by Your Power, so enable us to receive Jesus that we may be transformed by grace, and become like her – bringing Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life to all in need of Him.
