I’ve seen and read through some of the loooooong threads regarding evolution and I don’t want this thread to become another one.
I also don’t want the opinions of creationists vs evolutionists. I just want FACT about what the Church teaches and allows.

Does the Catholic Church allow us to believe humans have evolved over thousands (millions?) of years as long as we believe this evolution was guided by God and that God gave each and every one of us our souls?

Yep! Catholics are permitted to believe in theistic evolution. The Church has made no definitive statement on whether the theory is true, whether Genesis is literal, etc.

I know, but I’m in the middle of a PM and unless I’m misunderstanding him/her s/he disagrees. i wanted to hear it from more people.

I’m trying to think and didn’t you mention in one thread you have OCD? If I’m correct, please expand the spoiler.
Summary
In the other threads you’ve opened and participated in, people there have mentioned the answers you’re getting here. You’re also still looking for more of the same even though you’ve already gotten those answers again in part because of one person in a PM saying “no.” This sounds like your OCD acting up and I’d urge you to please talk to a professional to see if this is something you meed help moving on from. It’s nice that you want to know your faith, but this seems to be getting excessive in my opinion.

I talked to this poster again in PM and actually, I think we’re on the same page. Yes, I have OCD and despite all the meds I’m on, I’m still feeling bad.
 
I contacted my doctor today and he’s upped one of my medications until Monday when hopefully my insurance company will approve another medication.

The last time I took something like what he’s prescribing it made me appear sort of “flat” as my doctor described it. My husband had been asked by several relatives if I was ok because they, too, noticed something was off with me.

He said that this time he’ll prescribe something in the same class like what he prescribed before, but different.
