What is the role of offerings in faith and salvation. Which biblical excerpts can be referred to in order to strongly back offerings. Is it a phenomenon only relevant to Old Testament and does not hold much importance in New Testament? Why does our church - catholic attach so much importance to the issue. A protestant cornered me and I had few options. Please assist.

Can you give an example? Or let us know what the protestant was quesitoning you about? I have a lot of ideas, but I want to focus on the specific question
