Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council said the Bush protections are needed for better enforcement of the Church, Coats, and Weldon Amendments that protect health care providers’ right of conscience

But the Obama administration was concerned that the Bush regulation could also be used to refuse birth control, family planning services and counseling for vaccines and transfusions

So what happens if Obama has his way and a woman asks her Doctor (pro life) for a contraceptive which could include the morning after pill? Or she carries a prescription for such into a pharmacy and the pharmacist is pro life?

Obama also has stated he is going to review the protection of conscience policies for the intent of perhaps changing, or modifying them. (Don’t have source for this. It may be in the same artcle on the website above.)

To have legal protection, all i/s need to be dotted and all t/ s crossed.

“So what happens if Obama has his way and a woman asks her Doctor (pro life) for a contraceptive which could include the morning after pill? Or she carries a prescription for such into a pharmacy and the pharmacist is pro life?”

Don’t worry, this is the US, there are millions of pharmacists and doctors that have no conscience and will give them their contraceptives and morning after pills for money.

No one is saying that these women can’t have their pills!

We must protect the rights of everyone under the Constitution, even those insane zealots who believe that murdering innocent babies is wrong.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Yeah, but I bet a dollar to a donut, the poor woman will target a pro life objective. Don’t they usually do that to get the word out as to how slanted the pro life group is?

But its all about making sure nothing and noone stands in the way of the abortion industry’s agenda of having an unlimited supply of babies to kill in order to line their pockets with. That is why Planned Parenthood is one of the biggest promoters of contraception. They know full well that promiscuity leads to abortion.
We must protect the rights of everyone under the Constitution, even those insane zealots who believe that murdering innocent babies is wrong.
Now if we can uphold the unborn’s constitutional right to live as well…

Of course, because it’s not that she can’t get her pills. It’s the principle.

Abortions are available to all who might want them! So are contraceptives and morning after pills. That isn’t the real issue here. I don’t think that whatever Obama does legally will enable any more folks to get abortions because they already can get abortions if they want to. Money isn’t usually an issue either - its alot cheaper to abort that baby than it is to have it!

The legal road is not the way we need to fight abortion. We need to get to the pregnant woman before she aborts that baby. I think that all the anti-abortion folks needed to get together and start a group called Planned Parenthood - the New Generation!
(I just realized how ironic the name Planned Parenthood is for an abortion promoting group - not much parenting going on there!)

If we could only reach out to young girls before they have a chance to become pregnant, or out to the pregnant young woman before she aborts, this wouldn’t even be a discussion.
