OK, I admit it, I’m a computer dummy. HEY, I grew up with a slide rule and remember thinking the transister radio was about as high-tech as it could get… I have a problem and I need help. I get a notice in my personal inbox every time someone replies to the thread I started… I really don’t want to get these. I’ve looked under my profile page but see nothing that may “turn-off” this option. Can someone steer me in the right direction? Oh, and if, by chance, the Catholic Answers Forum disappears – “It twernt me.”

If you don’t want to have those email notices flooding your account, then look at thread tools tab and click on unsubscribe to thread.

Also, you’ll have to do it every single time you post in a thread since it automatically subscribes you to any thread you post in.

At the top of the page, just under the ads there are a number of options starting with Home. Next to last is *Profile *- Click on that.

On the Profile page there are a number of boxes on the left. First box is* Settings & Options*.
Fourth item down is Edit Options click on that.

This brings up a similar page with a number of boxes. Second box down is Messaging and Notifications. Second item in that box is Default Thread Subscription mode. There is a windo at the bottom of that item - set it to No e-mail notification.

MOST IMPORTANT. Scroll to bottom and click on Save Changes [that’s where I always mess up :D]

Hopefully that will turn off the notifications.

Thanks Joe… that was simple. But then a dummy such as myself wouldn’t know simple if it bit me on the butt. But hey, I was a good rester in kindergarten - even came home with a gold star that said so. My one great accomplishment.😉
