Hi,

Okay for Catholics to share some sort of sinners repentance prayer as long as we say it is through baptism we receive grace and ultimately salvation?

This assumes that salvation does come before baptism or is possible before baptism with the baptism of desire or by blood, right?

It seems to be okay since it might be a good starting point, rather than nothing, for someone to come to Jesus Christ. Especially, if we aren’t baptizing them right then and there.

Just wondering the best way to evangelize. I think it is okay to tell people if they don’t lean towards the Catholic Church to go find a good bible church, but if leaning towards Catholicism, go receive the Sacraments in a Catholic Church.

Thanks for your help,
Brian

Why not give the reasons why you are Catholic? That would be a good starting point.

Don’t forget we also have the “Act of Contrition” prayer! :getholy:

The Church provides prayers as suggestions for personal use. We have the option to use other forms. We need not fear to pray, even if we are not certain of the words. Teresa of Avila said, “The desire to pray is prayer itself.” Our prayer is not a catechism or a theology book.
