Okay to add another Confirmation name?

What if I want to add another name? Say I’m really curious about Josemaria Escriva and want to add his name and take him as a patron.
That’s okay right?? (I don’t see why not, just curious to see what y’all have to say:thumbsup: )

haha, I would have a weird name: “Thomas Ralph Pio-Escriva Lyman”. I guess I could also do “Thomas Ralph Dos Santos (spanish for “two saints” Lyman”. 75% American sounding, the rest European…I love being Catholic:D
 
lol. I’m not sure if it’s officially “ok” to add to your name. 😉 But I don’t see why you can’t just add St. Josemaría Escrivá to your own personal list of favorite saints! Yes, our faith is wonderful! I love to learn about new saints… especially modern day saints. We have an extensive, and marvelous family awaiting us in Heaven! God bless.

P.S. I had two friends in CCD class who took the names “Scholastica” and “Perpetua”… because they thought it was funny.:eek:
 
You’re right… it was NOT “ok”! I didn’t think it funny myself. I took the choosing of a confirmation name very seriously. And to this day, I include my confirmation name as part of my name.

But the incident made an impression on me. A sad impression, but an impression. 😦
