Old Catholic Church in communion with Roman Catholic Church?

My brother has decided to be ordained in the Old Catholic Church he claims to still be a faithful Roman Catholic and its ok. Is it? and how do I advise him about this?
 
The Old Catholic Church is a schismatic Church that split off from the Roman Catholic Church. It is **not **in communion with Rome. If he is ordained by them then he would be officially splitting himself from the Catholic Church.
