EVOLUTION IS A BANNED TOPIC!!!
I cannot believe you. You are either laughing your head off and this is a big joke or you really don’t get it. A BANNED topic means that we are not to discuss it. Please let me quote for you the moderator’s words:maybe so - but we are in fact advised and encouraged to discuss but not to accept - twinc

Temporary Ban on Evolution/Atheism Threads
For the foreseeable future, there shall be no discussion in the Philosophy Forum of evolution or atheism. Anyone who starts such a thread or revives an old thread on those topics will be banned. This ban is planned to be temporary, but there are to be no public or private petitions that the ban be lifted. It will be lifted only when the mod (yours truly) discerns that the atmosphere in this forum has sufficiently cooled.

Did you notice where it said "no discussion? “No discussion” means that we are not supposed to discuss it. Believe me. That is what it means. “No discussion” means “no discussion.” This thread is in the Apologetics forum, so the ban is in effect.
OK?
This is the Apologetics forum. It is the Scripture subforum. As for making rules, you seem bound and determined to make the rules the Catholic faithful must follow, even if they go against Church teaching. That is not nice and it is not smart. Father Feeney did that and look what happened to him.I noticed alright - but you didnt notice this is the Scripture forum - stop trying to lay down the law and make your own rules and regulations - twinc
No, it doesn’t settle the question of whether evolution is a banned topic. Just kiddin’. I haven’t read your posts because to be honest they are a bit too complicated for me at this point. I only know what I’ve found myself and that is clear Church teaching. And if the Church teaches something I believe it.Guys - alright already…
Doesn’t this settle the question since their is extrabiblical evidence?
The genealogical table is accepted as a record of the past and as possessing the ordinary certainty of history. The ten patriarchs are held actually to have lived the long life assigned to them. The object which God intended by this extraordinary longevity is said to have been the increase of men on earth and the preservation of ancient tradition. In answer to the objection that the system of the human body does not permit of so long a lifetime, it is argued that a special providence of God had favoured the ancients with a peculiar organization and constitution of body, and had provided for them a special kind of food and climate. Thus already Josephus: “Let no one make the shortness of our lives at present an argument that neither the Patriarchs attained so long a duration of life; for those ancients were beloved of God and made by God himself; and because their food was then fitter for the prolongation of life; and besides God afforded them a longer time of life on account of their virtue, and the good use they made of it in astronomical and geometrical discoveries, etc.”
Furthermore in corroboration of the Biblical account he names as witnesses the historians Manetho the Egyptian, Berosus the Chaldean, Mochus, Hesitaeus, Hieronymus the Egyptian, and others, who all bore testimony to the longevity of primeval man. Ant., I, III, 9.
Is this a dogmatic teaching? I don’t think it is. And this only applies to men? So women were around just to have babies and then die at 25 or 30 years old? I don’t like this. I do not like this at all.Guys - alright already…

Little Soldier is correct. The ban applies in Sacred Scripture as well, because I am the mod for both forums and it is with Admin direction that the ban remains in effect because of the uncharitable interactions that it evokes, (as this one has).I noticed alright - but you didnt notice this is the Scripture forum - stop trying to lay down the law and make your own rules and regulations - twinc
