I know that there are parallels such as Joshua/Ephesians, Daniel/Revelations, Genesis/Gospel of John and Isaiah/all 4 Gospels. Does anyone know of any others? Does each OT book have a NT parallel? I’m just curious- I find this sort of thing fascinating.

are you asking just books but there are parallels all over the place

I just mean which OT books parallel which NT books, in the same way that Joshua parallels Ephesians.
 
Well the first few chapters of John parallel Genesis for a bit. I think there are many, many, many passages that do that in all of the New Testament. I’m not sure there is a definitive list as it would take an entire book to explain all of them.
 
The Ignatius Study Bible is lightly scattered with “cross references” between verses of the Bible. Other study Bibles offer a larger number of cross references, but the relevance depends on the point of view of the study Bible notes, themselves.

I have copies of protestant study bibles – the Ryrie and the NIV – and these have quite a few more cross references. These are not always OT-NT cross references, but OT-OT references and NT-NT cross references.

At the level of words, the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the (King James Version of the) Bible shows all the occurrences of each word used in the (KJV) Bible. That’s often helpful too.

In the domain of Jewish Bible commentaries (Old Testament commentaries), there are a couple books I’ve run across that look at similar themes, on the one hand, and on interesting reversals that occur in the OT, on the other hand – and, I never noticed those things previously, until I read those books.
 
God prefigures things constantly to bring us to awareness of his plan. God repeats themes to drive home the importance and significance and these lessons. IT is a mystery why God repeats the same thing over and over if not an example for the rest of us on how God wants us to love and live.

Elijah and John the Baptist and Samson and Samuel and Jesus all have parallel stories. Its a Mystery why God does these things yet it is a familiar mystery that we can see but cant wrap our minds around even though we understand what he is trying to tell us. We cant put these ideas into words.
