Old vs new testament cantradict?

Hello I am having a hard time with one incendeny in the old testament. Its when Moses stone adulters and murderers. Wouldn’t have said no that? So do they contradict each other.
Thanks for any info provided.
 
Everything in the Old Testament has to be read looking forward to what is to come in the New Testament. Jesus forgiving the woman who was caught in adultery only has meaning when one knows what the punishment for adultery was at the time.
