Is a wedding ring from an annulled marriage still a blessed object? Is it appropriate to sell it or should it be buried?

Jimmy Akin, Catholic Answers’ Director of Apologetics and Evangelization, answered a similar question on his web log Defensor Fidei about the propriety of disposing of a blessed engagement ring when the marriage does not take place. His advice in that article would equally apply to a blessed wedding ring from a marriage that has been annulled:
