I have had discussions about islam in muslims foruns in order to understand this religion more fairly

They offered my a lot of books and booklets, one of them was :

“Did God Become a MAN - Dr. A.B. Philips”

In this Booklet they try to demonstrate How God couldn’t became a man, and How God can’t do some things in His Omnipotence

A big questions, and it is well known by philosophers is this :

“Can God create a stone to heavy for Him to Lift ?”

Well, my answer is that He already did and solved this paradox

The explanation :

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, And then the MAN, by is Word

God is Perfect, He made the LAW, the law that even He can’t deny, or abrogate, or change

The LAW was taught to all prophets

But no MAN was able to be perfect, following the LAW of GOD

Romans 3, 10-12

10
as it is written: "There is no one just, not one,

11
there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God.

12
All have gone astray; all alike are worthless; there is not one who does good, (there is not) even one.

The LAW was a big STONE to lift, either to Humans, or to GOD HimSelf because it couldn’t change, or abrogate it, was above His will and nature

But, because He is omnipotent, and because Nothing his impossible to Him

And Because the Word of God is living. The Word of God is spoken. The Word of God is personal.

The Word of God is Jesus Christ.

He took ALL THE LAW uppon His Shoulders

Was terribly heavy, cross shaped, He fall 1 time…2 times…3 times

at the end He perished with the Heavy of ALL THE LAW

died for 3 days

In the third day He resurrected, HE Won the World, The Law, He made us FREE

(2 Corinthians 3,17)
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.

God can, on this understanding of omnipotence, make contradictions true.

The FULL LAW of the LORD also costed Him also a Big Price in order to Save Us

Therefore the meaning of Blood and Flesh of Jesus Christ

John, 6-56
“For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.”

Nothing is Impossible to Him, nothing at all

Of course, because Islam denies Jesus as the Son of God, and the Trinity they can’t solve this paradox by the Koran, they worship a limited GOD

Even all the Christians sects and denominations, can’t answer to this, because either they deny the Trinity or Transubstantiation only Catholic Church which I love Everyday even more has the right answer

My question to you, as Catholic friends and Brothers, I’m crazy to think I’m right ?

Thanks

In this Booklet they try to demonstrate How God couldn’t became a man,
The question is not whether God can become a man. God cannot relinquish his divine nature. The question is whether the person of God could assume a human nature, while retaining, as of course he must, his divine nature.

Difficult to read but it seems the premise is God could not have assumed a Human Nature, and thus denying the Trinity as accurate. I think many of the Apostles and disciples struggled with this issue of - why God did not smite the Romans? Their answer is that was not the message being delivered. The message required us to live correctly without power. We may or may not be a lamb, however if that is our faith we are to accept it as God did.

A big questions, and it is well known by philosophers is this :
“Can God create a stone to heavy for Him to Lift ?”
The answer to this question is NO. God can create any size stone He wants, but He cannot make Himself less than He is in order to be unable to lift the stone. The question itself is a contradiction; God is Truth, and Truth cannot contradict itself. The same applies to questions like “could God make a square circle (or a circular square, or a triangle with 4 sides, etc)”, because such things are simply logically impossible. God is omnipotent, but this does not give Him the power to contradict His own power. So He can never (will never) make 2+2=3.
