Hello all,
This sentiment came upon me the other day and I just wanted to share. In our current age we get a constant stream of horrible, horrible news. Stories of this or that priest caught in some scandal (real or imagined or outright lies) or of some new crisis both in the Church and ex ecclesia.
I had the thought that we aren’t to be depressed! Yes, these days are dark, but that’s part of the challenge! As gloomy as the world is Christ Jesus specifically called us to be the light of the world! The world is mired in sin and evil and we, as God’s Chosen, we have in each and every one of us a mission to change that! It might even be something as simple as praying, or the Life Chain, but we’re on the winning side! Christ has already won.
“We are the Easter People and alleluia is our song”.
So in summary, we gotta keep hope up! We can change this horrid world through Christ!
