On Revlation

I was wondering if someone could give me an overview or something of Revelation? There is a lot of sybmolism in it and being a new Catholic I don’t know what the church says it all means (and I have noticed that protestants occasionally use it to make some…well interesting conclusions). So anything about the book made for a new layman would be nice. Please.
