The whole site is garbage. But your link can be used in most religions. In this case, it just happens to be the lds faith. People will always need to justify why they left a faith and they will always find an excuse and a justification.

I found this a very interesting psychological analysis of cult control in general. It certainly applies to the LDS, which has always been very cult-like.

Shades of life with at least one ex-bf (that’s why he’s an ex ), a near relative at one time and my old church. We get better and better at recognizing the warning signs, don’t we?
I refuse to take responsibility for making happy those who never intended to be happy at all, for pleasing those who won’t write down and stick to a desire or who want something I never agreed freely at the outset to give, for fixing the brains of those who won’t think straight.

I really enjoyed some of the posts at Further Light and Knowledge.
Some of their stories are hilarious and sad at the same time, the missionary tales are a treat to read. I have to say between that site and MAAD I am grateful I wasn’t born into the LDS, it’s intrusiveness is breathtaking.
