Did Humanity miss the opportunity to learn about death and the afterlife when Lazarus was returned from the dead by our Lord? Nobody seems to have bothered to ask him.

Im sure lots of people asked him.
But it’s not very relevant, because he would have probably just gone to Limbo (remember, Heaven wasn’t opened yet).

I’d say John 21:25 applies well here…

Jesus (and the Apostles, disciples, and those touched by Christ, like Lazarus) did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

The Bible is full of stories, How about the most pertinent one on Death and the Hereafter. Lazarus’s resurrection to find out about this subject was a missed opportunity don’t you think?

After you die, you will know the answer.
Good question though. It’s good to ponder mysteries, it leads one outside one’s self.

Would he even have been able to explain his experience in words?

Me and my mother once spoke about how it must have been rubbish for his family to lose him twice . I wonder how he lived his life after he came back
