I don’t know if this was answered but an undocumented alien can get medicaid in some states. NY lets any pregnant women under 200% (maybe more) of the poverty level no matter your status, to be enrolled in medicaid. When you apply you do not have to provide proof of identity if you are pregnant, but if you are just looking to get on medicaid or other services like food stamps, heating assistance, and cash assistance do require proof of citizenship (at least in NY).Correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought that undocumented citizens do not qualify for section 8 housing, for medicaid, or food stamps.
- He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent, food stamps, and free health care.
I thought that they do not qualify for SSI and no undocumented immigrant has ever collected for Medicaid, Social Security, WIC, or welfare.
- *** If they are, or become, aged, blind or disabled , they qualify for SSI. If qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicaid. All of this is at the expense of the American taxpayer. ***
