My dad is 83 years old and I don’t know if he’ll still be with us another year or another 10 years. So I join him for Mass most weekdays & Sundays. Unfortunately, the church he loves isn’t as, um, conservative as I like. I long for deep reverence, homilies with less humor and more Truth (less like reading a Hallmark card, you know?).
Well, I just found a church a bit farther away that is Maronite Rite and the moment I walked in I felt a difference. I felt like I was home. And the priest is very reverent. I love it.
Now, of course I could stagger the churches attending every other day at one and the other.
BUT, is it alright to go to two masses AND recently ve communion twice in one day?
Just hoping…

Father answered your question.
I was just wondering, does the Maronite Rite church have liturgy every day? The one in my area does not.

From the Code of Canon Law:
Canon 917 One who has received the blessed Eucharist may receive it again on the same day only within a eucharistic celebration in which that person participates, without prejudice to the provision of canon 921 §2.
. . .
Canon 921 §2 Even if they have already received holy communion that same day, it is nevertheless strongly suggested that in danger of death they should communicate again.

You can go to Mass as often as you like.

If it important to remember that when you go to Mass receiving Communion is not mandatory. You can attend Mass and not receive Communion. People always receiving Communion at Mass is a relatively new phenomenon.

Whilst you can go to Mass as often as you like you can normally only receive Communion twice. The first time you receive Communion on a given day you may receive Communion in any authorised manner. If you receive a second time it must be at a Mass in which you have actively participated.

Because of the Church’s concern for souls there is an exception to the general rule. You can receive a second time outside Mass providing you receive Communion as Viaticum. Indeed, with Viaticum there is the exceptional possibility of receiving thrice. If the first time was any ordinary manner and the second was at a Mass in which you actively participated you could receive a third time if it was Viaticum
