…everything is going wrong!

I am tired because I stayed up too late last night, and then the kids got up too early. It’s too cold to play outside, but we’ve all got cabin fever and the sun is shining brightly. I’ve been (very successfully) losing weight but today I went completely off my eating plan.

I’m also in not a little pain from a medical procedure earlier this week. The pain is normal, but it’s made me a real grump even with meds. It’s a blow to my ego because it shows me that my perception of my pain tolerance isn’t at all accurate. 😉 I feel bad because I’ve yelled at my kids a LOT today, and they are so little still. (Why, exactly, am I surprised when they think it’s OK to yell back?)

Oh, and I went and bought a bunch of lightbulbs last weekend and installed them all, but now 3 more lights are out. (We have recessed and track lighting only. Lots and lots of lightbulbs. Gah.)

None of this is super serious, it’s just been what Anne of Green Gables calls a “Jonah day.” Part of me wants to snuggle up under a warm blanket and just sleep until spring…

Anyway, please say a prayer for me, would you? “Dear God, help pensmama get over being such a grump, already!”

Pensmama, you are entitled to a grump day, but I will say a prayer for you anyway! 😉

I had one of those days yesterday! School was delayed 2 hours because of snow then we got to school and no electricity because an accident knocked down a power pole and the school not expected to have electricity for 3 more hours so we came back home.
Snowed all day. I understand the cabin fever!!!

Hang in there!

Hello pensmama87~

I totally understand grumpy days…Something I experience way too frequently! I will say a prayer for you…

Heavenly Father, pensmama87 awoke this morning in a bad mood, and she has been unable to shake it so far. Everything bothers her and everyone rubs her the wrong way.
She just cannot seem to get her true bearings. Help her to think of Your salvation, Your countless gifts and overwhelming love for her.
Let her relax and forget life’s cares by placing herself wholly into Your hands. Grant that this mood will soon pass and she will be able to bask in Your love and communicate it to others.

Amen.

:gopray2:

Will do, dear one!
Park the kids in front of a cute video with a lot of action, and curl up on the sofa with your rosary. Even if you only get one decade in, you’ll feel better. Your Mother in heaven prays for all mothers.

Oh honey!

I’m right there with you! Sending prayers.

Count my husband in too. He’s been home with the babies while I’ve been heading into work for annual training (2 weeks).

Both of my kids have caught some kind of stomach bug. So we’ve been dealing with lost appetites, diarrhea and at least one instance of vomit.
It’s bitterly cold outside so we’ve got cabin fever too.

I’ve been dealing with back pain and nausea thanks to my pregnancy.

Looks like it’s a bad all around. Lots of prayers for you. Believe me, I sympathize.
