One Reason I love being Catholic

So far the Pope (plural) has said no women priests. End of story.

It would be nice to have deaconesses though. I really think of our deacons’ wives as deaconesses. They do so much good in the Church. They also go through much of the training with their husbands. Might consider a comissioned deaconess instead of an ordained one if that is the problem.

However, one reason is that Mary is so important to the church. I am so happy about that. I have always believed that women and men on earth were different but equal. Many churches (I feel) seem to think that women are somehow less, unequal. This may or may not be true, but its how I feel. “I’m the man, you have no opinion, just do what you’re told”

Mary, Gods mother, so important in leading people to her son. WOW! We women have such an important role, following her example, leading the children, and others to Jesus! It feels great knowing that I can follow Marys example and help others find Jesus. Its wonderful knowing God can use me to help others.

Being Catholic what I love best about me!
