The game is to post a quirky fact about yourself that you haven’t mentioned on the forum elsewhere and that might surprise. It’s a ‘get to know you’ thing so you can obviously post more than once. I’ll start to give you the idea…

I watch a Christmas movie or programme every single day.

I’m around 140 pounds and I’ve wrestled a 300 pound man. Of course that was in college. Needless to say I lost handily. Only lasted about 10 seconds tops.

I’m descended from Conquistadors. Onate, specifically.
So, my motto is…Don’t fuuuuuuuuusssssssss with me. 🤣🌹🤣

Hmmm, just one?

I watch “Days of Our Lives.”

I’m ashamed that I’m somewhat addicted to this soap opera but I do find myself occasionally pray during the broadcast for those living immoral lives.

One per post. As many posts in thread as you like. I used to watch Sunset Beach religiously until it ended and I was proper gutted.

I once wore a donkey costume to pretend to be a lion.

I play a board game called Strat-o-matic. It is a baseball simulation and I am pretty much addicted to it lol.

My mom has watched it since it started back in 1965! It’s hard for her to stop now. In our house growing up, “Days” was simply referred to as “The Show.”

So, yeah, I watched more than my fair share. 😊 Pretty much all through the 90’s. I don’t think I’ve watched since 2005 or so (and for the few years before that, it was infrequently).

Truthfully, that show did as much as anything when I was growing up to convince me of the veracity of Catholic sexual ethics. The characters eschew such ethics and they always suffer dramatic consequences. Maybe that’s not what they were going for, and I don’t think I’d recommend anyone watch it for learning Catholic moral teaching, but that was my takeway. 😝

Okay, weird fact: I saw the first Lord of the Rings movie in the theaters 8 times. (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

I can’t think of anything specifically weird right now,
I found rocks from the neighbors yard and then knocked on her door and sold them to her when I was 7. And she gave me money for them. 😀

Kind of the other way around, but yes, good call! I love that book.

That I know of, I’m related to one former president, two signers of the Declaration of Independence, two Supreme Court Justices, and a Secretary of Defense. One side of my family has been in the U.S. for a long time. 😜

I made mince pies yesterday (a Christmas theme is emerging from me!!!)

Cmon trishie, let’s hear it…
Daisy, I possibly know more about mechanical things than many men,
because I encourage my husband, as his sounding board and personal praiser, in his hobby of restoring magnetos and big ancient engines. He aims for perfection in restoration and in amazingly skilled and varied missing parts crafted on lathe and milling machine.
In earlier years he restored some vintage cars, as well as completely rebuilding cars and engines in his spare time. He has an infinite store of knowledge and I’ve been the recipient of much of that. While I don’t let on I have no passion for things mechanical, I think I might know more than most men

I have to walk up and down in my room for at least an hour in the afternoon. I have NO idea how that started, but when I don’t, I get so uncomfortable.
