With the old format we could tell when people were online on CAF by a little dot next to their names. If they were on, the dot was lit up a bright green. Is there any was to be able to tell when posters are on now?

I always found it creepy. What purpose did it serve? It seems a bit stalkerish to me.

Yeah, I guess it could be viewed that way but I looked at it not to be a stalker, but to know if certain people were online to maybe answer my question.

If you’re looking for a singular person, the best way would be to PM them directly. It would be wrong to assume that because a person is online and has previously posted in a discussion that they will return to that discussion. If they’ve not posted in a discussion it would be odd to wait around because they are online hoping they’ll find one of thousands-if, not millions-of threads on here and post.

If you’d like a public response you can always try calling someone out. For instance, if we were talking about the role of a good music director in liturgy and I want the specific opinion of a talented musician that I’ve seen around, I can say “What do you think @pianistclare” she will be notified that it was posted.

(Sorry for picking on you Clare, I figured you’d be a good sport)

HAHAHAAHHA…yup. Some of us have PLENTY O’Pinions.
😎🤣🌹

Or at the very least…we’re in cohoots! 🐧
