Do you also have those prayer intentions that are so close to your heart that they can bring you to tears? Two of my girlfriends and I have chosen to pray and fast (as we are able) on the First Friday of each month for those prayer intentions that are urgent and/or never seem to budge (e.g., conversion of loved ones).

Please join us in fasting (as you are able – and it doesn’t have to be from food) and focusing on prayer tomorrow for those intentions that are urgent or seem unmovable.

Please feel free to post your intentions here as well, so that we can raise them up to God together.

My intentions for this First Friday are:

For the conversion of my ex-husband (my son’s dad).

For the men and women with SSA who were part of my life when I was in that world so many years ago.

For my school (we go back on August 12) – for the protection and growth in holiness of all my students, their families, the staff, and their families in this coming schoolyear.
 
My intentions for this first Friday are…

that Frank and I forgive each other in heart and mind and have our hearts and mind filled with unconditional love, Respect, Faith, Trust and patience for each other and GOD…for me to be his only love and him mine so that one day we may be united as husband and wife before GOD.

for my daughters and I to do well in school and GOD help us live a positive and happy life.

My intentions are for the Healing of my niece, Nathalie M from leukaemia, for all her care & treatment needs.

Also for all those ensnared in impurity & pornography, that they may experience the Love, Healing & Freedom of Christ
 
In fact, I heard we were called to fast and pray this Friday, August 1
for peace in the Middle East
and the persecuted Christians there.
 
What a beautiful prayer intention. I will be joining all in fasting (food, for me) and in prayer.

My prayer intentions for this first Friday:

For all previously mentioned here.
For all families. For the Holy Father.
For the Church. For the conversion
of those who want to be close to God.

Prayer for a cease in violence in the Middle East especially persecuted Christians in Syria and Iraq.
 
Joining my “fasting” to all of yours and offering my prayers and works for the intentions of Jesus’ most Sacred Heart. I would also like to continue to offer my prayers for the conversion of my husband and two eldest boys. :gopray:
