Opportunities to serve

I think I have lived a somewhat selfish life, so I was considering devoting the rest of my life to serving the Church, but outside of the religious orders.

Is there a way to make a living working for the Church as a lay person?

Any ideas would be very helpful.

I can almost promise you people are going to tell you to contact your parish priest, there is also something called a pastoral center, your area may or may not have one, but a parish does need people for lots of things it just depends if there are any openings, and if not at your parish , you can always find another in your area. If not paid employment volunteering is also an option an a good way to get established for when an opprotunity does arise.
