I am reading Jeremiah in the NABRE and the phrase “oracle of the Lord” is used repeatedly. Can someone please explain what this phrase means?

Oracle means “speaker” so an oracle of The lord is a Speaker of The Lord.

Correct, but I believe oracle to mean more then just speaker.
An oracle of the Lord implies more of a spiritual type speaker of the lord. Kinda like a prophet but not quite so. Perhaps not a prophet in the sense of foretelling.

Fr. William Most says
When they ask: What is the of the Lord?
The word had two meanings: burden and oracle. It seems the
wicked were saying this in derision: What does God threaten now?
They do not believe. Hence God will bring disgrace on them, and
cast them out.
Bishop Richard Challoner says
Burden of the Lord: This expression is here rejected and disallowed, at least for those times: because it was then used in mockery and contempt by the false prophets, and unbelieving people, who ridiculed the repeated threats of Jeremias under the name of his burdens.
Haydock quoted Augustin Clamet says
Burden, Massa, (Haydock) denotes a weight, or sometimes a prediction. (Calmet)

I’m in Jeremiah also.

“oracle of the Lord” is used repeatedly throughout, but its intended purpose is obscure
or ambiguous.

Is it?:
  1. being used to indicated a strong statement of the Lord?
  2. addressing Jeremiah?
???

Oracle could also be the word (Amos 2:11; John 1:1) itself, of what is being said.
