How did you *first *hear the gospel message and come to believe in Jesus? I’d like to know if the Christian faith is being passed from one generation to the next through both oral and written tradition, or through Scripture alone.

By reading the gospels and hearing about it from friends.

I think it’s by prompting from the Holy Spirit. I wasn’t raised Christian (and I’m still not… yet).

How did I first hear about them? That’s like asking me what I had for breakfast this morning - I don’t remember :o . I guess I probably first heard about them from my mother and from hearing them read in Mass as a child. But I really don’t remember.

I vaguely remember all those many years ago, my mother reading something to me from the Gospels, and I remember following along with the Missal while they were read in Mass. But that’s all I can say about it.

I didn’t vote because there was no “I don’t remember” button and I didn’t want to skew the data with a false vote.
