My mother was educated on an Ursuline school in germany, she told only the best of them as very strong, faithfull and intelligent teachers. Nice to see something about the sisters

Thank you! I grew up 40 miles from the Louisville Ursulines. Their rounded chapel always got my attention when we drove past. I also found their Ursuline Academy of the Immaculate Conception downtown to be very inspiring. One of the Passionist nuns of Erlanger, KY, is an alum of that school, which is now apartments.

And speaking of cloistered nuns, the Louisville Discalced Carmelites moved to a floor of the Ursuline Motherhouse, and closed their Newburg Road monastery.

The Ursulines’ main emphasis used to be teaching girls to be good Catholic housewives. IMHO, we still need that.
