OLTV has just completed a special recording of nine lectures by Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia (Timothy Ware) entitled Churches of the Christian East: Who We Are and What We Do which covers the same material as his famous book The Orthodox Church, first published 50 years ago. The contents include several lectures on the history of the Eastern Churches, along with talks on Mystical Theology, The Church, The Sacraments, and Christian Unity. In addition to new material about the creation of the Eastern Catholic Churches in the lecture on “Attempts at Reunion,” His Grace also introduces these lectures by commenting that almost everything he says about the Orthodox Church applies equally to the Eastern Catholic Churches – a great example of the ecumenical progress made over the last 50 years.
