Original sin, Death, Jesus had a sin nature?

Jesus’s death was voluntary I lay down my life, that I might take it up again

Satan has authority over those born with original sin

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Satan had no claim over Jesus ( Satan had no authority over Jesus ) therefore Jesus was not subject to original sin and not subject to death – original sin and death go hand in hand.

John 14:30
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Jesus is LIFE the opposite of Death and thus was not subject to death.

John 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

It was his Fathers’ will that Jesus choose to die —he is not subject to death due to original sin.

Matthew 26:39
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Mark 14:36
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Jesus had the option not to die, he could have called down an army of angels to stop the cruxifiction.

Matthew 26:53
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Jesus choose to die, he became obedient unto death

John 10:17
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Philippians 2:8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Isaiah 53:12
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Jesus took on our sin, and he knew no sin because he was sinless, not only did he not commit any sins, he did not even have orginal sin, otherwise this text would be meaningless.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Hebrews 7:26
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Jesus was HOLY, one who has original sin in the womb can not be called HOLY.

Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Bottom line, Jesus was not subject to death, nor subject to original sin — both are curses of the fall and go hand in hand. Jesus was LIFE, the very opposite of Death. Satan had no authority over Jesus at all. But, Satan does have authority over those born with original sin ( 2 Cor 4:4 ).

Christadelphains simply misses the boat on so many levels it is not funny.

In Summary, Jesus says, “I lay down my life, that I might take it again” and “I am the resurrection, and the life” — clearly one who is the RESURRECTION is not subject to physical death!!!

John 10:18 (King James Version)
No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

No one takes my life from me. I give it up willingly! I have the power to give it up and the power to receive it back again, just as my Father commanded me to do.

No one can take my life from me. I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right to lay it down when I want to and also the power to take it again.

another charateristic of orginal sin, is being born in non-fellowship with God the Father. But, we know that Jesus was in fact, always ( expect for on the cross maybe ) in fellowship with God the Father.

Paul says about his own sin nature’s will or power or that

Romans 7:18-20
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

But, in Luke 1:35 we are told that Jesus is HOLY.

“nor of the will of the flesh”

From Romans 7, John 1 and Luke 1 a contrast between Paul and Jesus. Paul is under the power, will of the flesh. Jesus is HOLY in the womb, and Jesus was born NOT OF THE WILL OR POWER OF THE FLESH and thus is not subject to original sin.

The phrases “for he was before me” and “bosom of the Father” both refers to Jesus’ pre-existence. The phrase “for he was before me” is saying that Jesus existed before John the Baptist, but we know that John the Baptist was born 6 months before Jesus was!!! One who was in the “bosom of the Father” must have been in existence at that point to do so!!!

“In him was life”

That is the exact opposite of death which is related to the sin nature ( see also Gal 5).

Jesus did not die a natural death. Perhaps that it something to look into?
