We will be traveling to Orlando this summer and would like a nice church to attend.
Last year, we stayed in Jacksonville Florida and attended the Immaculate Conception Church. We really liked it. I loved the history of it and the beauty of it. Are there any churches like that in the Orlando area. We are willing to drive 45 min to get to it. We will be staying in Beuna Vista. The priests were so nice and even prayed with us before we left. Confession was really nice too.

Orlando has a tourist parish, look up Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. They have a lovely museum next door and a beautiful meditation garden.

I lived right next door to that place for seven months when I worked for Disney. I heard the bells every day. It took seven months for me to figure out where the bells were coming from. A year later, I was confirmed. A little superstition, yes, but the curiosity lead me there.

Thank you Virgin Mary! 👍

BTW, this church was created specifically for those visiting the attractions around the Lake Buena Vista area, so It will be filled with tourists.

Mary, Queen of the Universe is the place to go. It is right near Lake Buena Vista. Beautiful church grounds and easy to get to. It is not a local parish church but was created for all the tourists coming from around the world (hence the name Queen of the Universe). It will not strike you as a “tourist” church however - it is very beautiful and highly recommended.

I live in Miami so we go to Orlando a lot! Every time we go to Mass at Our Lady Queen of the Universe! It’s mission is specifically to be a place for tourists and visitors to worship together. Their choir, Ledford and altar servers are all volunteers from different parishes.

They have the most beautiful rosary garden named after JP2! and their gift shop is great!

If you’re in the Disney area, there is also Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Celebration. Beautiful church, very welcoming to visitors, but a little less “touristy” than Queen of The Universe because it’s a regular parish.
