do the orthodox have a book of doctrine akin to the catechism?

i know that the orthodox have a couple extra books in the bible that are recognized, what is the version of this bible called?

can anyone direct me to links for purchase of said books?

It called the Septuagint. This isn’t ‘new’ this was the Greek translation of the Old Testament. 🤷

well i know that catholics use the septuagint but i thought that the orthodox bible had a few more minor books than the catholic bible.

maybe i misunderstood.

Actually The Catholic Vulgate isn’t the whole Septuagint. That is where the extra books come in. St. Jerome translated the Vulgate from two sources the Septuagint and the Hebrew Bible of his day. It is in this second source that St. Jerome’s Vulgate differs from the Greek Old Testament canon of books.

“The Orthodox Study Bible: Ancient Christianity Speaks to Today’s World” is an English Translation of the Septuagint, including 3 Maccabbess, Pslam 151, the Prayer of Manesseh etc. that the canon of Trent do not include.
