Orthodox vs. Heterodox Religious Orders

Are there any resources out there that discuss the success of orthodox Catholic religious vs. heterodox ones? I would imagine that some of the big old time orders like the Jesuits must be taking some pretty hard hits these days, and see that orthodox (albeit controversial) orders such as the Legion of Christ are getting barrel fulls of vocations.

Also does it seems like orders such as Mother Angelica’s that still wear their habits seem to keep vocations better than those that have given them up for civilian clothes?
