Has anyone got on a non Catholic forum and tried to evangelize. What was your experience? Are there certain ones where you might do some good? Are there any to avoid?

I’m pretty sure listing other forums for the express purpose of evangelizing is against the rules.

I would also suggest not doing so. It’s a good way to get banned. Most forums, including this one, do not take well to people trying to prostelitize.
 
Good luck. I tried in the past and got banned from a chat room because I defended the faith
 
I’ve engaged in basic explanation/defense of Catholic teaching where relevant, especially on ecumenical Christian forums. But I wouldn’t go there specifically to evangelize. And the other forum I frequent the most bans all discussion of real-life religion anyway.
 
Yes I have, but it does wear you down. There is so much out there on the net that gives others a rather screwed ideas about Christianity. Lots of twisting of words from other members Didnt get banned though. Remained humble right through.
 
If he did say this it sounds very unbiblical. St Peter says to always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is within you.
