I just wanted to have a thread devoted to Our Blessed Mother.

She has too often been neglected in the modern Church, either by people too consumed with false ecumenism, or by feminists who reject her.

All the Saints for that matter are given little to no support today, other than just the bare minimum as “disciples of Christ.” Our Blessed Mother, as the Queen of Heaven deserves even more accolades.

I love the Blessed VIrgin Mary - Mother of God
Our sweetness and Our Hope to thee we pray

Her Litany gives me hope
Her Rosary starts my day

Happily for those of us in our parish we have a lively devotion to Mary and she is not neglected or shoved aside as passé! Thanks be to God!! I am sorry you’re experience where you are isn’t a good one in this area. I will pray for you and encourage you to begin to make devotion for Our Lady a real part of your parish life once again in any ways that are open to you. It’s a challenge, I know, but sometimes it only takes one person standing up for what’s right for others to gain the courage to join in and let their true feelings be known. God bless you!

I love the Blessed Virgin very much too. It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that she is my spiritual mother and was such a big part of the appeal of Catholicism to me. I’m currently in RCIA and have found so much comfort in the rosary and devotion to Mary. To me, it only makes sense. Unfortunately I’m waiting on my annulment and cannot join the Church until that is done but hopefully it won’t be long. I just find her to be such a beautiful example for women particularly to follow.

Oh Lily, God bless you. I will hold you especially in my prayers today. Bless you for your devotion to our beloved Mother.

I’m new to my church and the RCIA does not begin until September 😦

I certainly hope that Mary is not pushed aside. I’m converting from Protestantism and I’ve done some reading to try and learn more before my classes begin. I have really found the honoring of Mary to be both Biblical and beautiful.

I agree that Our Blessed Mother the Queen of Heaven is integral to our love for Christ.

As Luther said, everything that belongs to Christ belongs to us–and that includes His mother.

Peace.

I’m in the same situation. I am so intrigued by Marian Dogma. I prayed the rosary for the first time last week…a wonderful prayer.

To clarify, Our Lady is venerated highly by my parish priest and in all the Churches I attend (Novus Ordo, Indult Tridentine, Ukrainian Catholic)

But, overall, Mary in modern Catholic parlance has been shown in the so-called Biblical Mary form, which is what Protestants and feminists want… the opposition of the traditional Catholic view of her.

(That is, a mere servant girl in Judea who had no idea of what was going to happen to her, and someone whose historical value is relatively insignificant.)

I Love Her so! The Blessed Mother has picked me up through some very tough times. She has appeared to me in many ways that I cant describe. I’m so grateful for our dear Mother.
