Very beautiful, thanks for sharing. One day I will remember to take a picture of ours and then hopefully some nice person on these message boards will tell me step by step on how to put it here, I am so computer illeterate!! God Bless.
There’s two ways.
1 - If you don’t have a digital camera. (it’s a little more complex/tedious this way)
a. Buy a scanner, if you don’t have one already.
b. Install the scanner and scanner software (there’s a cord - called a USB cord) that goes from the scanner to the computer).
c. Place your picture (one at a time) onto the scanner and scan. Depending on the software, you can resize the image (recommended), and compress the image (save it as a jpeg - you will see the option if you click on Save As).
d. Put them somewhere you’ll remember it (like your c drive. i.e., c:\myaltar.jpg).
e. Go to
www.imageshack.us (marginally easier than photobucket, since you don’t have to log in) and enter your filename (i.e. c:\MyAltar.jpg) into the upload textbox (the box just to the left of “Browse”). You can hit the browse button to find the image manually (also recommended). If you wish, you can click the “Resize image” checkbox and select 800x600 or 640x480. (Recommended if your software doesn’t resize images).
f. When you upload the image, it’ll show you multiple links at the bottom of the page. You want the last one.
g. Click in that last textbox and you’ll see it highlight. Right click the highlighted area and select “Copy”.
h. Open a new thread or post on CAF.
i. Click on the “Insert Image” button (it’s a mountain and sun on a yellow background - below the blue arrows) and paste your image in. It’ll look something like this: (without the . after the IMG)

- Second way -
If you have a digital camera, plugging it into the computer should bring up your imaging software so you can download it to your hard drive. Continue with step d.
