Our Holy Father's Prayer Intentions for October

Our Holy Father’s general prayer intention is: “That the Christians who are in minority situations may have the strength and courage to live their faith and persevere in bearing witness to it.”

Pope Benedict’s missionary intention is: “That Missionary Day may be a propitious occasion for kindling an ever greater missionary awareness in every baptized person.”
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our Daily Bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and Blessed is the Fruit of thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
 
Heavenly Father, Christians around the world are suffering and struggling. Governments pressure them and bring them harm and death. I stand firm on my faith in you Father! I will not be led astray. Thank you Father for the opportunity to have been born in the United States of America.
 
Heavenly Father, remember your children who are living in remote areas such as we are in this island with no priests. We see the priest very few times per year. Accessibility to a catholic church is frequently difficult. We are living in these remote areas because we need the job, the salary, our families that are stationed here … Father, we are facing spiritual inconveniences of many sorts. Father, I pray for everyone in similar situations all over the world, I believe my situation is one among a lot. We too are in some way a minority. We join Our Holy Pope in prayer for us… We hunger and thirsty for spiritual food, Father, may you send more workers in your farm that these souls might be tended more frequently, and not lost into the confusion of the many sounds in this world. In Jesus Name I pray and hope, Amen.
 
Remember most Loving Virgin Mary, that never was it known in any age that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was abandoned. Inspired with confidence we fly to you, Virgin of Virgins and our mother. To you do we come and before you we stand, sinful and sorrowful. Do not, Mother of The Word Incarnate, despise our prayers but hear and grant them. Amen
St. Joseph, patron of The Church pray for us
St. Rita and St. Threse pray for us
Sacred Heart of Jesus Have Mercy on us.
