First of all, this is a private revelation. It has been approved by the local bishop which means it is okay for the faithful to believe in the apparition and to practice associated devotions. (It is NOT the “Highest Form of Church Approval” which would be Vatican recognition, but the bishop’s approval is sufficient as the Vatican usually does not take a position on apparitions and leaves it to the bishop.)
Dan Lynch, who wrote the article, is a promoter/ publicist of apparitions and in my opinion some of his activities regarding other apparitions are questionable or controversial (he was involved in the Our Lady of America legal controversy).
AND…Catholics are not required to believe in any private revelation, even if it is approved by the Bishop, or even if approved by the Vatican. It is each Catholic’s choice whether to believe in an approved private revelation.
Having said all that, I take “Never interrupted” as simply meaning the same as what we have already been instructed from other sources, “Pray constantly”.
With respect to getting to confess at the end of your life, you should
- Always try to live properly and stay in a state of grace so you are prepared for Jesus whenever he might return.
- Go to confession regularly (at least once a month) and if you are conscious of having commited a serious sin that might be a mortal sin, then immediately make an act of repentance to God and go to confession as soon as possible.
- Pray regularly for the gift of “final perseverance” to help you with this situation if Jesus returns or you die before that happens.
- If your life is ending or Jesus is returning and you haven’t been able to get to confession for some reason, make a sincere act of repentance to God and put your trust in his mercy to help you. If Jesus is returning, hopefully some priests will be giving a general absolution to everybody in the area when it looks like things are getting real so to speak.
You should do all of the above whether you choose to believe in this apparition or not.
Remember that approved Marian apparitions are not meant to be scary and are generally just Mary reminding us of things we are supposed to be doing anyway, but like children we forget or get distracted so she sometimes shows up to remind us, like a mother would. Mary wants her children to do the things they’re supposed to do, just like a real life mother wants her kids to brush their teeth, pick up after themselves and look both ways before they cross a street. Mary does not want you to worry or have anxiety any more than a real life mother wants her kids to be worrying.
God Bless
