Catholics are the most important swing vote in America. A shift of a few more points to pro-life candidates by Catholics would radically reshape our laws and, just as importantly, our culture.

Sadly, we have to consider Catholics a swing vote, when evangelicals overwhelmingly support pro-life candidates. I hope that changes some day.

To be fair, when the vote of Catholics who attend Mass on a regular basis is examined, their vote for pro-life candidates is comparable to those who describe themselves as traditional evangelicals.

Often Protestants and Catholics identify themselves as one or the other based on what their parents were. Politicians use this when they declare they have such and such a percentage of whatever faith. Yeah…OK…but when was the last time half of those voters were in a church? Last week? A decade ago? When they were baptized?

And how are you supposed to get those statistical figures? Has a survey ever been made that is so specific?

Yes, there were several surveys last election cycle that broke response down, not only by denomination, but by how often the respondent attended worship services. Respondants who attend services at least once a week were overwhelmingly pro-life in their voting habits.
