Has anybody been watching this show?

I have followed it and watched most of the episodes in the two seasons *. It’s far from the best show I have seen on TV, but for some reason, anything on demonic possession and exorcisms grabs my attention, so I watched.

The further and further in to the series I have gotten though, the more I appear to notice the fairly anti-Christian undertones to it?

In the last episode of season 2 pastor Anderson finally completely turned on his faith [in previous episodes he would go back and forth and have doubts] and started ripping pages out of the Bible.

It just seems to be me that they decided to create a show based around demonic possession, start if off with a two man team, including a pastor, performing some type of exorcisms on possessed people, but with each episode they appear to want to discredit Christianity and move the demonic possession away from anything religious, mocking our faith in the process.

They could have made a show on people fighting demonic possession without any Christian undertones to it - that would have been fine, but they appeared to make you think it would be based on Christian teachings of possession and then later almost tried to say ‘how look, all this Bible stuff is bulls—.’

At least that’s the feeling I am getting - I don’t know about you.*

There are a lot of films like that, too. People discrediting Christianity in favour of a ‘superior’ opinion.
