Because of the stress of The last few months I’ve been gorging food.

I’m usually good with controlling this, but lately I’ve been dangerously overeating (and I mean dangerously!)

Please give me a quick prayer to get back on track.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (My ocereating), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

May carrots be your friend!

Our father, hail mary, glory be, fatima prayer
Amen,

**Memorare for your intention
**
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, o Virgin of Virgins, my mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petition for the OP’s intention that they get back on track with healthy and proper eating, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Dear Jesus, Please help the OP with their eating habits so they eat an appropriate amount of healthy food every day and not too much or the wrong things. In Your name I humbly ask this. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I will pray for you polly…but visit (volunteer at ) a soup kitchen, and look into the eyes of the truly hungry.
You’ll find it far easier to eat appropriately.

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
St Bernadette, pray for us.

I feel your pain; have that same problem. You’re in my prayers; you’ve prayed for me enough times!

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.
World without end. Amen.

Prayer to Resist Overeating
  • Heather Kopp
Dear God,
right now, I surrender to You
my temptation to binge,
to rebel, to misuse the food
You’ve blessed me with.
Fill me instead
with Your Spirit and grace
and grant me the power
and will to STOP indulging
when I am no longer hungry.
Thank You that, by Your Spirit, within me,
I have the ability to resist
the urge to overeat today. Amen.

Prayer for Healing

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to Polly such a consciousness of your indwelling and surrounding presence that she may permit you to give her health and strength and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Renew Mind, Body and Soul

Lord, I come before You today in need of Your healing hand. In You all things are possible. I ask that You hold Polly’s heart within Yours, and renew her mind, body, and soul. She is in need of Your aid. You gave us life, and You also give us the gift of infinite joy. Give her the strength to move forward on the path You have laid out for her and to resist overeating. Guide her towards better health, and give her the wisdom to identify those You have placed in her life and around her to support her and aid her goal. I ask this in Your most Holy Name. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
