Yes, I absolutely agree with this. The Church should not be a “positive thinking organization.” It is the Church, the Body of Christ. There are plenty of bars out in the world; we should offer more than a “place where everybody knows your name,” although I don’t think it would be a bad thing if we knew everybody’s name in our parishes!

Walking_Home, I think you have a disagreement with me and you are determined to find fault with everything I say. I’m sorry you feel that way. Perhaps you should not read the names of the posters until you have read the post, and that might help you to see that I don’t have a hidden liberal agenda and I am not trying to undermine the Church. I consider myself a very conservative Catholic, and whenever one of those cute “quizzes” comes up on CAF, I take it and always end up in the “conservative, traditional Catholic” category. Get to know me (on this CAF Board, of course) and you’ll see what I mean.

Frankly Cat—I responded to what is being posted not to the name attached to it. If I respond to your posts—their is a reason for it–and it is not your name.
