I am looking for a New American Bible Revised Edition that is a medium size, but that still has readable font. I have an Oxford University Press RSVCE, and it is awesome. Good size, good print, and has a nice imitation leather cover with a Miraculous Medal zipper (it is NOT the compact version).

I have looked for a NABRE that is similar to this RSV from Oxford, but have only found a compact version (too small) and a large print version (too large) available. Does Oxford make a ‘medium’ edition of the NABRE in leather? Does anyone else do so with readable font (9 pt) and in a moderate size? (Note that I have viewed the St. Joseph versions, and I can’t stand the pictures in them. They look like something out of a 1970s comic book).

I have the same RSV as you. It is my go-to Bible and I carry it everywhere.

Catholic Book Publishing has a similar NAB version. I have not held it but have only seen it on the web. catholicbookpublishing.com/products/620. They have some PDF sample pages linked.

I’d be interested in hearing your impressions if you buy it.

The front of that one looks like the same gift bible I have. I think they are the same, but this one is zipped. If that’s the case, this does not have the pictures in it. It is a text bible with a few maps, a list of popes, and tables of the parables and miracles in chronological order. Not the world’s best quality, but no, there are no pictures in it.

I have this version of the NABRE (zippered) by Catholic World Press (which is an imprint of Catholic Book Publishing Co.). It is limitation leather (the bonded leather edition does not have a zipper). It is a medium size 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 (book block) and uses an approx. 8 font size. This Bible includes 8 color maps and 2 black and white maps, list of Popes, Parables in Chronological Order and Miracles in Chronological Order and no pictures. The page edge are gold gilt. There is no ribbon marker in my Bible, in a zippered version they can get caught in the zipper so for me it is not a problem. The end of the zipper has a small gold cross on it. I like this Bible, it is a handy size to carry around with you, but still has a font size that is readable.

Thanks for the help! I’ll take a look at that NABRE from Catholic Book Publishing.
