Hey everybody. I read in Friday’s local paper that this year’s Ozzfest is likely to be the last one for Ozzy to appear as the headliner. In May, it was announced that he had a neurological disorder called Parkins syndrome (not to be confused with Parkinson’s disease), the main symptom of which is the presence of fine motor tremors.

It’s safe to say I’m pretty worried about Ozzy. I’m a huge fan, and he’s been a big inspiration to me, not just because he’s a great musician, but also because I think he’s a good guy who has seen and survived more than his share of hardships only to come through on top.

If you could, let’s all say a prayer for Ozzy- that God watch over him, that his health may improve and that he may have a long and happy life.

My aunt met him and he is the opposite of his personna on Mtv and what not. He seems to be a tortured soul afraid his drugging and wild life will not be forgiven by God. He is afraid he would be struck by lightening if he entered a Church with his wife. Yes prayers are in order.
 
My only knowledge of Ozzy is from watching his show on MTV (can I admit that I watched it and still come back to the forums?). What I saw was a very lovable, somewhat frail man who seemed somewhat confused and perhaps concerned by the damage he’d done to himself over the years.

I think that both he and Sharon have tons of bad habits and unfortunately, in a misguided understanding of love, allowed the kids to do far to many unhealthy things in their own lives. But I believe they love their children very much and wish them to have the best possible lives.

I would be very happy to pray for them all.

Sharon seems to be seeking some understanding of the bigger picture with her Crosses and Jewishness all at once. Wouldn’t it be incredible if she were to come full circle and accept the Fullness of the Truth in the Catholic Church. It would make sense for her, the truth of Judaism and Christ, all at once, as Catholicism is the fulfillment of Judaism.

Well, LHB, you’ve asked for prayer, and I’m happy to offer it.

She is actually Anglican with a love for the Jewish Religion .She has a Statue of the Blessed Mother in her garden and Picture of St.Catherine of Sienna in Her home in England. They have been through alot, Ozzy is very sweet when he is not loaded, Sharon went through alot of abuse as he was using.I will pray along with you CARose and we can pray for the whole family.🙂 God Bless you,Lisa

Nothing I filled out the requests and have heard nothing yet. It is hard not knowing.:nope: My husband is a wreck.I do not blame him, I feel so bad for all these poor people.

Yup. You can’t keep God out of any corner of the world. I’ve been teaching my pastor how to use the computer and he was pretty hesitant about the Internet, but I told him that what the devil can use for evil, God can use for a greater Good!

I loved that JPII was so into using technology for the advancement of the Church!

I saw Ozzy in concert in about 1981 or 1982 for the first time. I had never heard of him until I won some tickets from the WSU college radio station KMUW.

When I went to the station all these college kids we like, 'oohh, you’re going to see him?" but they gave me the tickets.

I’d never seen a stage show like that; it was really impressive. He did use the “f-word” more than I was used to hearing, but I liked his attitude and I liked the concert.

I watch very little TV and I only saw about half his show one time, where he had Dr. Phil on it. Either that or maybe the Ozbournes were on the Dr. Phil show, I don’t know but I thought it was an interesting combination.

I was actually very impressed at the way the kids spoke about their issues and difficulties. They seemed to speak not only the right things, but from the heart. Punctuated by some vocabulary that I have now grown used to enough it wasn’t a distraction, the kids spoke matter-of-factly about things I wish a lot of my kids’ friends would understand.

At the end of the show, Dr. Phil commented that this was one of the most unified, loving families he has ever seen. He thinks they have problems but I also was pleased that he came to the same conclusion I did, and didn’t just write them off because they have this “bad person” image.

Ozzy and his “prince of darkness personna” doesn’t hold up very well under scrutiny.He used to use rubber bats on stage and act like he was biting their heads of and someone threw a real one on stage in one of his concerts and he bit off its head and when the realization set in he fainted:bigyikes: :rotfl: Then had to get rabie shots:eek:
 
Ozzy may have done some wild things while he was on top of the world in the 80’s and early 90’s, but it may be soon coming to an end for him. When that time comes I will be very sad. I saw him back in 1984 (i think) and it was one of the best proformances I ever saw. He is the best rocker ever, no one will ever come close to being as good a song writter and stage performer than him.

Ozzy has been in my prayers as of late because I see him dying everytime I watch his show. When he does pass away, the song “mama, i’m coming home”, will be so fitting for him.

I was a huge Ozzy fan back in High School. I use to and still do cringe when I hear all of that satin stuff. Music (and mostly heavy metal) music got me through a very tough adolescents. I saw the Ozzy show once and felt very sorry for him and I will pray for him.

I remember watching his show once, where sharon was setting up for his stage show. and sharon had this big bubble machine. And when ozzzy saw this he replied. “Bubbles??? sharon! i"m the prince of *beeping darkness sharon…i don’t have bubbles” LOl he truely rocks.
