On Palm Sunday the Bishop of the diocese led the Mass, which was a great honour.
When I went up to receive Holy Communion from him the lady in front of me received on the tongue, so I plucked up my courage and received it in that way also.

I just wanted to share this as it felt like such a wonderful blessing - where I usually attend Mass it is normally a case of standing and receiving in the hand, but all of a sudden receiving on the tongue seemed like the right thing to do. I hope that it was God pointing me in that direction - after all, the Bishop didn’t seem surprised or annoyed by it, and I hope that I’ll have the courage to continue it in future.

I know that there a million threads on Communion on the tongue vs. Communion in the hand, but this is just my own 2 cents!

I think that the Bishop would no more be surprised or annoyed by this, than Miss Manners would be surprised or annoyed to receive a handwritten thank you note.
