Did you all read the Passion Play today in mass? The presiding priest explained that they were combining Passion Sunday and Palm Sunday together…I recall reciting the play before, but just wondered if you all did the same?

Hi WG,

Actually, its the same Sunday whether one refers to it as Passion Sunday or Palm Sunday. To answer your question, yes, we read the Passion of the Lord from the Gospel of St. Mark.

It is not a Passion Play, it is the second option for the proclamation of the Gospel, the narrative form, we have at least 3 open threads on this topic. The name of today’s feast is Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion.
