Maybe it’s no coincidence that Blavatsky’s Theosophical society heralded the World Parliament of Religions:

Theosophists around the world regarded the Parliament and its Theosophical Congress as a huge event, supporting its Objects regarding universal brotherhood and the study of comparative religions. Planning began well in advance, with an international Advisory Committee of some 190 members.[

We know from Popes St Pius X, Pius IX, Gregory XIV, Leo XIII, Pius XII that religious indifferentism is dangerous and is a logical consequence of modernism.

Obviously it’s not a particularly great topic to talk about for most people. Then again, truth is truth and we have to speak it even though we’re all afraid of getting our faces punched in or our houses burned down or yelled at. (I’m afraid of getting yelled at, actually).

Still: Indifferentism is pretty much going to lead you to a very… ‘gray’ area. And as an old pastor of mine said ‘Gray’ produces mediocrity. That is pretty much a fact. Now, one can argue that the Light blinds and the Darkness also blinds, but the Light illuminates while the Darkness just has you stumbling around, swearing out loud as you trip over stuff. Darkness also leads to Hell. Light to Heaven.

Sorry for getting off-topic, but- Indifferentism definitely leads you down a dark path of mediocrity where you pretty much say ‘whatever’ to everything. And I MEAN everything. A woman hurt by her husband? ‘Whatever’. A kid killed in the womb or more? ‘Whatever’, a Church burned down ‘Whatever’. Mass? Catechism, Hard Sayings of both Christ and the Saints? Whatever to all of them. Heaven? Whatever. Hell? Whatever.

You pretty much become so bored with talk of the after-life, you start looking down. And when you look down, you start to do a lot of crazy and immoral things.

It’s curious that people ascribe one-world everything to the Antichrist, but they pause and scratch their heads if asked to provide Chapter-and Verse to support it.

About the closest thing the Scriptures say is that the enemy will set himself up as God and demand to be worshipped as such.

Yet fiction such as the Left Behind series have their Antichrist figure set up a one-world currency (US $$$) and a one-world language (English).. Next he sets up a one-world medical health system (to kill people, naturally)

… and two different one-world religions. Not one. Two.

The first is the “Enigma Babylon” forced tolerance religion. It welcomes anyone except Orthodox Judaism and Evangelical/Fundamentalist Christian. This one spreads because (literally) billions of people dont’ care enough about their assorted religions to adhere to them. It’s all done with “making deals,” we are told.

The second is pure Antichrist worship. No deals allowed, no deals required. You pick your side and win or lose with it.

It’s the lack of commitment that seems to be worrying our Original Poster. The fact is, there really are a lot of people who talk the talk, but won’t walk the walk. But that was true long before fiction began speculating on it, and long before Antichrist-spotting became a modern hobby.
