Has the Church issued any official statement on the theory of panentheism, as opposed to pantheism? Where God is only immanent in pantheism, He is immanent and transcendent in panentheism.

You can google for “panentheism” if you need a more detailed analysis, though there seem to be several schools of thought within panentheism.

CCC 300 seems to actually describe what you might call “panentheism”: God is both transcendant and present to the inmost being of his creatures.

300 God is infinitely greater than all his works: “You have set your glory above the heavens”…But because he is the free and sovereign Creator,…God is present to his creatures’ inmost being.

Panentheism isn’t New Age, it is actually an ancient and noble worldview.

The Church has no official position, neither supporting nor condemning the idea.

Paul’s writings hint that he was a Monotheistic Dualist Christian as we depict him, but also had some Panentheistic viewpoints, most simplified in his words “but Christ is all, and is in all.”

Many Church thinkers, both condemned and supported, have bore a semi-panenetheism similar to Paul, perhaps more so.
