In the O/T there was certainly fear instilled into people, and worshipping of idols brought about severe repercussions such as the devastation of countries and dethroning of Kings. However the question of the church becoming a paper Tiger in the present context does not arise as the Church instituited by Jesus Christ entered into a new covenant with the people and salvation was brought about by his sacrfice on the cross and it is not fear that he instilled but love and faith in his Gospel which will give us everlasting life. The teachings of Jesus chrst is the vital element here and we haave to follow his doctrine and have faith. Our journey is towards salvation and eternal Glory. If people in the Chirch are paper Tigers and fault in the spreading of the word of God that is not relevent because the word of God and the new covenant is the factor that is material
Thanks for the reply

If I may, I would agree, in the understanding of why should God give His Grace to us, unless it be in His Choice to do so.

I would draw your attention to the fact that it has always been, that God’s fulfillment of His Word in the world, is the motivation for the trust in that it shall be done. And the whole of the OT demonstrates that, in the fulfillment thereof, in Jesus Christ. To be a recipient in the Mercy of God in His Fulfillment of His Word, has been the corner stone of all that God has done, and will do in the world. For that which remains alive is the recipient of God’s Mercy in the fulfillment of the Truth in the world.

Mark:12:26: And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27: He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Therefore Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are still alive in the Mercy of God, given in the Word of God in the fulfillment of His Word.

The Mercy of these times is that one can come to terms with the Presence of God in the name of Jesus Christ, in His Grace and His Peace with a man. Before His Presence is reveled in the world to the world and men find themselves not in His Peace with Him in His Grace.

Sure God rases, and lowers nations as well as individuals, in the powers and esteems in and of the world. But who shall survive the revelation of His Glorious Presence , unless they be in agreement in His Peace Offering.

Therefore one must come to terms in the Presence of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, which are God’s terms, of God, and of no one else.
