Hi!
My parents need to relocate to a “retirement home” (independent living for now) in Northern Virginia, preferrably very close to Route 66 in Fairfax County. Maybe somebody knows the area and can make a recommendation?
At any rate, I would love to know what resources/tools I can use to help them in the search. Most places are incredibly expensive and they are on fixed incomes. They want to be near Church and if there is such a thing as a Catholic-based community in this area, that would be of great interest to them.
My Dad likes to have the TV on all the time and likes for it to be very loud. Maybe a two bedroom sound proof studio apartment? My Mom, of course, prefers the quiet and reading. A match made in heaven!
They are both having a little trouble getting around these days and a one level place would be the way to go.
Would love to hear all of your ideas! Thanks… (I will be contacting my Priest and have done the basic internet searches on local real estate. My goal would be to find an online search tool of some sort (if one exists) that can narrow the choices down for me.)
